If you want to explore life on the Texas Coast, Bay Club is the perfect point of departure. Countless day trips and afternoon adventures await, just minutes out from the lodge, the pier, or your home at Bay Club.
The Great Texas Water Safari
Known as “the world’s toughest canoe race,” this 260-mile competition runs from San Marcos to Seadrift. This year, the race departs San Marcos on June 9th and teams should begin showing up in Seadrift by mid-day on the 12th. Come out and cheer on paddlers of all ages from all over the world.
Antiques and Shopping
Historic Victoria is home to several antique malls, shops and original local boutiques.
Dinner and a Show
Head into Victoria for the evening, and catch a show at the Victoria Symphony or the Victoria Ballet Theatre. For a unique dining experience beforehand, we suggest the Rosebud Fountain & Grill—located in the old local drugstore with much of the original décor. For something a little more traditional, the Colet Inn Bar & Grill serves up steaks, seafood, burgers and their special Chicken Fried Steak.
Riverside Golf Course
This 27-hole public golf course in Victoria rests along the banks of the Guadalupe River.
Fresh Seafood from San Antonio Bay
And we mean “fresh”—visit Seafood Harvest at the end of Bay Avenue in Seadrift and choose from a selection of fish and crab hauled in earlier that day.
